Bed Sheet in Peshawar
Peshawar sits in a lowland valley at the edge of the Khyber Pass, and that shape traps heat. Daily maximums climb past 42 degrees from May through September, with June and July the hardest, and summers here run hotter and longer than in Islamabad.
The important difference is that this heat is dry. Peshawar lies outside the monsoon belt, so the air does not hold water through July the way it does in Lahore or Karachi. Winter rainfall in Peshawar is actually higher than summer rainfall, which reverses the pattern across most of the country.
That changes two things on a bed. A washed set dries quickly even in August, so you do not need the spare sets a humid city forces on you. But dry valley heat makes weight matter more here than almost anywhere. Plain woven cotton moves air through it. Velvet and heavy jacquard belong to the cold months, which run from mid November to the end of March, when minimums settle around four degrees.
Dust is the other Peshawar problem. Bedding gets washed more often here than in cooler cities, so ask about GSM rather than print. Weight predicts how many washes a sheet survives.
