Crescent Bed Sheets

Crescent bed sheets come from The Crescent Textile Mills Limited, known in the trade as Crestex, which has run from Sargodha Road in Faisalabad since 1950. Haji Muhammad Shafi founded the mill, and it trades on the Pakistan Stock Exchange under the symbol CRTM.
Two later dates matter more than the founding year. The company took ISO 9002 certification in 1997, among the first textile firms in Pakistan to do so, and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 in 2000.
OEKO-TEX is the certificate to ask about when buying bedding. It tests finished cloth for harmful substances left by dyes and finishing chemicals, not just the raw yarn. A sheet rests against skin for eight hours a night, and small children pull bedding into their mouths, so this is a practical concern rather than a paperwork one. Ask the seller whether your set is covered.
The mill is also vertically integrated. It spins yarn, weaves, prints and stitches in one place. Fewer hands touch the cloth between bale and finished sheet, so colour and weight stay steadier across a batch. You notice that consistency most when buying two sets of the same design.
