Prices move with that rush. Traders in Karachi and Lahore report goods that sell for six or seven hundred rupees through the year reaching two thousand in the final week. Bedding follows the same curve.
That is why the middle of Ramzan is the better window. Shopping picks up sharply after the fifteenth, and the last ten days are when both prices and delivery times climb together.
Homes get prepared alongside people. Rooms are cleaned, curtains washed, and sets that have carried a month of daytime sleeping are changed before relatives arrive.
